The sun transmits radiation on the earth daily but no one is complaining. The Xray is another form of radiation that we have come to accept. What makes radiations dangerous is whether it is ionizing or non-ionizing. Radio waves fall into the class of non-ionizing radiations along with visible light and infrared.
So if you used infrared technologies and did not die then there is not much to be scared of.
